Sales Representative - Paint, Automotive and Industrial Coatings

About the role

MSVL Group is hiring a Sales Representative in Mombasa for its paint, automotive and industrial coating and building material business. The role covers visiting dealers, distributors, painters and contractors, developing new customers and projects, and achieving sales targets through effective market coverage and customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Visit dealers, distributors, painters, contractors and customers to promote company products.
• Identify new sites, projects, institutions and construction opportunities, and regularly check ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Build relationships with painters, contractors, applicators, developers and other key influencers.
• Generate leads, develop new customers and support dealers to increase secondary sales and product movement.
• Conduct product presentations, demonstrations and awareness activities, and recommend suitable products based on customer needs.
• Maintain follow-up with existing and potential customers, revive dormant accounts and handle enquiries and complaints promptly.
• Monitor competitor prices, products and market activity and share information with the manager.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales, site visits, leads and demand generation.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.
• 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in building materials or a related industry.
• Willingness to travel and work in the field; a valid driving licence is an added advantage.
