About the role
The Sales Team Manager will lead the sales effort for solar energy products and solutions, driving revenue growth and expanding market presence across residential, commercial, industrial, and utility‑scale segments.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue and market‑share targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building a robust sales pipeline.
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team, set targets and monitor performance.
- Prepare forecasts, budgets and performance reports; ensure timely proposal submission.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, conduct visits and presentations.
- Provide technical and product support throughout the sales cycle.
- Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly sales reports, track KPIs and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, Renewable Energy or related field.
- 5–7 years of sales experience, including 2–3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in solar, renewable energy, electrical or energy sectors is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Knowledge of Kenya's renewable energy market and regulatory environment.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
