Secondary Subject Teacher (Key Stages 3‑5) – International School

About the role

Newton British School is looking for experienced secondary teachers to deliver the British National Curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5. The role involves planning engaging lessons, assessing student progress and contributing to a vibrant international school community.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver high‑quality lessons in line with the British National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes strong behaviour, wellbeing and academic standards.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to learners and parents.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and external GCSE/IGCSE examinations.
• Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings and whole‑school initiatives.
• Support pupils’ personal, social and emotional development through pastoral care.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd, QTS or equivalent).
• Minimum two years full‑time teaching experience in a British curriculum school.
• Proven experience teaching the chosen subject at KS3 and KS4.
• Fluent English with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
• Student‑centred, inclusive approach and ability to thrive in a multicultural environment.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
