Security Coordinator

About the role

Ramco Group is hiring a full-time Security Coordinator in Thika, Kenya, to manage site security operations and risk assessment in a high-security printing environment. The role covers physical security, safety and emergency preparedness, including electronic security systems, access control, CCTV, fire systems and business continuity, with compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement security policies, procedures and operational controls, and manage access control, visitor management and guard force operations
• Oversee CCTV monitoring and investigation, and protect assets against theft, fraud, sabotage and unauthorized access
• Manage CCTV, access control, biometric and intrusion detection systems, and oversee their maintenance and upgrades
• Manage fire detection, alarm, suppression and firefighting systems, and coordinate fire prevention and awareness programs
• Coordinate evacuation exercises and emergency drills, and assess their effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with ISO 14298, statutory requirements and customer security standards, and lead internal compliance reviews and audits
• Conduct risk assessments, investigate security incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Monitor workplace hazards, promote safe work practices and support safety awareness programs
• Lead and develop security personnel and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminology, Security Studies, Risk Management or a related field
• Certified Security Professional (CPP) or equivalent security certification
• ISO 14298 (Intergraf) Security Management training, fire safety management certification, and OHS certification (NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent)
• Incident investigation and emergency response training; security risk management certification is an added advantage
• Minimum 7-10 years' experience in security and safety management, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Proven experience in a security printing, manufacturing, banking, government or high-security environment, and experience leading ISO audits
