About the role
The Security Officer II is responsible for managing and coordinating all security operations within the Independent Policing Oversight Authority, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Support implementation of security policies, strategies, guidelines, systems, plans, standards and procedures.
- Coordinate outsourced security services and conduct internal investigations.
- Gather intelligence, conduct surveillance, and manage access control operations.
- Participate in Security Risk Analysis, provide close protection and escort services, and deliver security updates and advisories.
- Implement disaster management programs, capacity‑building initiatives, and maintain departmental records and reports.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Forensic Science, Criminal Justice, Security Management or an equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Ability to handle weapons and conduct armed security operations.
