Senior Associate, Legal & Government Operations

About the role

Solugen is seeking a Senior Associate to lead legal operations and support government and external affairs. The role works closely with the General Counsel to manage legal workflows, outside counsel, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate legal workstreams across internal teams and outside counsel, serving as first‑line triage for inbound matters.
• Maintain legal request tracking systems, document repositories, dashboards and reporting on timelines, dependencies and deliverables.
• Manage outside counsel engagement for corporate, regulatory, export control and contracting matters, including billing workflows and matter tracking.
• Support export control compliance, ITAR and EAR processes, and track licensing activities and regulatory obligations.
• Maintain entity records, subsidiary documentation and board governance materials, ensuring corporate maintenance obligations are met.
• Assist government affairs and policy initiatives, prepare policy materials and briefings, and support lobbying compliance and bill tracking.
• Provide flexible execution support across the legal department as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating legal operations and managing outside counsel relationships.
• Familiarity with export control regulations (ITAR, EAR) and corporate governance processes.
• Ability to handle government affairs support, including policy briefings and lobbying compliance.
• Willingness to register as a lobbyist if required.
