Senior Business Development Manager

About the role

Schneider Electric is seeking a highly driven Senior Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across Eastern Africa. You will lead the development of strategic partnerships within our channel ecosystem, combining commercial leadership with deep solution expertise to expand our market footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute channel business plans to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
• Identify, recruit, and develop strategic distributors, reseller partners, and system integrators.
• Drive integrated IT infrastructure and Edge solution opportunities across the region.
• Lead commercial negotiations and partner business planning activities.
• Enable partner sales and technical teams to position Schneider Electric solutions effectively.
• Generate and qualify new business opportunities through partner networks.
• Launch and execute joint marketing and demand‑generation initiatives.
• Build executive‑level relationships with key ecosystem stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, services, and technical teams to accelerate growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Business or a related field (MBA or postgraduate qualification advantageous).
• 8+ years of experience in field sales, channel management, business development or IT infrastructure alliances.
• Proven success developing commercial growth strategies in African markets.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
