Senior Business Tax Advisor – DRC

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Business Tax Advisor to support its Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) clients from the Nairobi office. The role involves delivering tax compliance, advisory and dispute‑resolution services across public and private sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns, advisories and support tax audits for DRC clients.
• Collaborate with a cross‑border team to combine local tax knowledge with international experience.
• Participate in client workshops, presentations and go‑to‑market initiatives.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with client personnel and management teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting or Law (upper second‑class or equivalent).
• Minimum three years of experience in DRC taxation matters.
• Congolese nationality, willing to relocate and be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
• Fluent in French and able to communicate in English.

Required skills

• Technical expertise in DRC tax matters.
• Knowledge of Customs & Excise regulations (advantageous).
• Working knowledge of OHADA law.
