Senior Financial Business Analyst

About the role

Our client, a leading global technology company, is seeking a Senior Financial Business Analyst to join its Financial Systems Support & Operations group. The role bridges finance, engineering, and business operations, ensuring smooth billing processes and driving strategic improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day billing support workflows and resolve complex system inquiries.
• Lead incident triage, analyzing and prioritising technical bugs for engineering teams.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis on billing anomalies and perform database corrections.
• Write optimized SQL queries to extract, validate and reconcile data across AR and AP lifecycles.
• Drive operational initiatives such as architectural rollouts and annual billing contract implementations.
• Design, document and iterate Standard Operating Procedures to automate manual tasks.
• Support month‑end close activities and monitor key financial reporting metrics.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience as a Systems, Operations, or Business Analyst in finance, accounting or billing.
• Deep knowledge of the Accounts Receivable lifecycle, including credit memos, adjustments and GL synchronization.
• Proven ability to create comprehensive SOPs and translate business constraints into system rules.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in writing SQL scripts for data extraction and reconciliation.
• Expert‑level skills in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, data modelling).
• Advanced use of Google Sheets for data analysis and modeling.
