Senior Lecturer – Community Health Nursing

About the role

The University seeks a Senior Lecturer (Grade 5a) in Community Health Nursing to join its Faculty of Health Sciences. The incumbent will contribute to teaching, research, and community engagement at a senior academic level.

Required profile

• Earned PhD in Nursing or equivalent, preferably in Community Health Nursing, from a recognized university.
• Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Nursing or equivalent from accredited institutions.
• Minimum three years of university‑level teaching experience as Lecturer Grade 6A, or six years of research/industry experience.
• At least thirty‑two publication points, with a minimum of twenty‑four points from refereed scholarly journals.
• Supervision of at least three postgraduate students to completion.
• Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
• Successful attraction of research or development funds.
• Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and Integrity.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of community health nursing and related disciplines.
• Ability to secure and manage research funding.
• Experience supervising postgraduate research projects.
