Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering (Materials & Micro‑Nano)

About the role

The University seeks an experienced academic to provide leadership in Mechanical Engineering, focusing on Materials and Micro‑Nano Engineering. The role involves teaching, research, and community engagement to support the institution's strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
• Conduct impactful research and secure external funding.
• Develop and update curricula in relevant engineering fields.
• Mentor junior academic staff and foster collaborative partnerships.
• Contribute to academic quality assurance and institutional growth.

Required profile

• Earned PhD or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• Minimum three years of university‑level teaching experience or six years of research/industry experience.
• At least four refereed journal articles or thirty‑two publication points, with a minimum of twenty‑four points from refereed scholarly journals.
• Supervised at least three postgraduate (MSc or PhD) students to completion.
• Registration with the relevant professional engineering body, where applicable.
