About the role

The University seeks an experienced academic to provide leadership in teaching, research, innovation, and community engagement within the Petroleum Engineering department.

Key responsibilities

Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
Conduct impactful research and secure external funding.
Develop and update curricula aligned with industry standards.
Mentor junior academic staff and foster collaborative partnerships.
Contribute to academic quality assurance and institutional growth.

Required profile

Earned PhD or equivalent in Petroleum Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
Minimum three years of university‑level teaching experience or six years of relevant research/industry experience.
At least four refereed journal articles (or 32 publication points, with 24 from refereed journals).
Supervised a minimum of three postgraduate (MSc/PhD) students to completion.
Registration with the relevant professional body where applicable.
