Senior Project Planner

About the role

The Senior Project Planner will join the Nakuru County team to develop and maintain detailed schedules for a Wastewater Treatment Plant project. Working on‑site, you will coordinate with project managers, site teams and stakeholders to keep the project aligned with milestones and deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and optimise project schedules for the wastewater treatment plant.
• Prepare and maintain planning documents and progress reports.
• Monitor project progress, analyse schedule variances and propose corrective actions.
• Support project controls, including cost, time and resource management.
• Facilitate communication between technical, commercial and construction teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes, tools and compliance with company standards and local regulations.

Required profile

• Strong planning and scheduling expertise with at least five years of experience.
• Proven analytical and project control abilities.
• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional coordination.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or a related field.
• Experience on at least two wastewater treatment plant projects.
• Ability to work on‑site in a multicultural environment while upholding safety, quality and integrity standards.
