Sulfonation Machine Operation Team Leader

About the role

Kleesoft Company is hiring a Sulfonation Machine Operation Team Leader (ref. MJ002595) to manage production and process operations, safety, equipment maintenance and team performance on the sulfonation line. The role covers coordinating production schedules, monitoring key process parameters, maintaining equipment and ensuring environmental compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Production and process management: receive production plans, break them down into tasks and schedule work, coordinating with hydrolysis and continuous product output; monitor reaction temperature, SO3 concentration and residence time to prevent excessive sulfonation or carbonization, and control active substance content, pH and other indicators through self-check, inspection and special inspection; record production logs and report output and consumption data.
• Safety and occupational health: enforce protective equipment use, ventilation and leakage management, investigate reactor and pipeline hazards, hold pre-shift safety briefings, prepare emergency plans and handle sudden leaks or over-temperature incidents.
• Equipment maintenance: plan inspections and lubrication, lead daily maintenance of reactors, aging machines and alkali washing towers, coordinate mechanical repairs and electrical troubleshooting, and take part in equipment acceptance.
• Team and site management: schedule the team, train staff, appraise performance, standardize operations, and promote 5S/6S management so materials are clearly positioned and marked.
• Environmental compliance: supervise the exhaust gas absorption system so SO2/SO3 emissions meet standards, reduce waste acid and wastewater, cooperate with environmental monitoring and implement cleaner production.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Process Technology or a related field.
• 3 years of relevant experience in sulfonation operations, preferably in LABSA or detergent manufacturing.
• Completed occupational health and safety training.
• Valid medical fitness certificate and Certificate of Good Conduct may be required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of chemical handling, process safety, emergency response and safe operating procedures.
• Process monitoring and production logging.
