Supply Chain Management Officer

About the role

The Financial Reporting Centre (FRC) is recruiting a full-time, on-site Supply Chain Management Officer in Nairobi. The officer coordinates procurement, manages suppliers, maintains supply chain records and ensures cost-effective purchasing and timely availability of supplies. The position is open until 16 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out market research, surveys and analyses
• Implement procurement plans and process purchase requisitions
• Take part in sourcing, supplier evaluation and rating, inviting offers, negotiations and contracting
• Draft procurement and disposal plans and budgets, and draft bid awards and tender advertisements
• Write letters of notification after tender evaluation and prepare minutes for tender openings for the evaluation committee
• Identify demand and plan and procure items needed by user directorates and divisions
• Inspect and verify items received, and verify payment documents for goods, works and services supplied by vendors
• Update contract details in government portals and FRC websites

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce (Supplies Management option), Procurement and Logistics or another relevant qualification from a recognised institution
• Membership of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or a relevant professional body, in good standing

Required skills

• Proficiency in computer applications
