System and Infrastructure Officer

About the role

The System and Infrastructure Officer will be responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining the hardware and networking environment that supports Royal Mabati's manufacturing operations. This role ensures reliable data transmission across all facilities and integrates IT infrastructure with production systems such as ERP and automation tools.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain servers, workstations and networking equipment.
• Manage and troubleshoot operating systems, network protocols and software systems.
• Oversee LAN and WAN configurations, ensuring secure and efficient data flow across manufacturing sites.
• Monitor network performance, conduct regular maintenance and implement upgrades to support production.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate IT infrastructure with ERP, SCADA and IoT automation tools.
• Develop and enforce IT policies, including hardware and network security, backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Provide technical support to end‑users for hardware, software, LAN and WAN issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work under production pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with non‑technical staff.
