Trainer – Adolescent Sexual & Reproductive Health Policy

About the role

The Trainer will design and deliver in‑person training on adolescent sexual and reproductive health policy for professional and community audiences in Nairobi. This part‑time position focuses on creating interactive learning materials, facilitating workshops, and evaluating participant outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop training curricula, case studies, and interactive activities aligned with Kenyan legal and policy frameworks.
• Facilitate workshops, seminars and short courses for diverse audiences.
• Assess learning through tests, feedback tools and provide constructive reports.
• Collaborate with program coordinators to tailor content to client needs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of training materials and ensure adherence to ethical, non‑discriminatory, rights‑based principles.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in adolescent sexual and reproductive health, public health and related policy/legal frameworks in Kenya and the region.
• Demonstrated experience in training facilitation, adult‑learning methods and curriculum design for professional audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Law, Education or related field; master’s degree or specialized training in SRH is an advantage.
• Experience working with adolescents, NGOs, government agencies or international health organisations.

Required skills

• Ability to translate complex policy and legal concepts into clear, practical learning materials.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with a gender‑sensitive, inclusive approach.
• Proficiency in monitoring and evaluating training effectiveness using assessments and feedback tools.
