Tutorial Fellow – Various Disciplines

About the role

Makueni University College is recruiting Tutorial Fellows to support teaching and research across several academic areas, including Philosophy of Education, History, Linguistics, and Applied Mathematics. These entry‑level positions are contract based and involve both instructional and scholarly duties.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tutorials, practical sessions and other teaching activities under academic supervision.
• Prepare learning materials, set, administer and mark assessments.
• Undertake research, participate in scholarly activities and make satisfactory progress in doctoral training.
• Mentor students and perform relevant departmental and university duties.

Required profile

• Relevant bachelor's degree (e.g., Education, History, English, Mathematics) from an accredited university.
• Master’s degree in the specific discipline (e.g., Philosophy of Education, History, Linguistics, Applied Mathematics) from an accredited university.
• Registration for, or eligibility to register for, a PhD or equivalent doctoral programme.
• Evidence of academic, research or professional capability relevant to the position.
