Universal Banker

About the role

The Universal Banker will drive business growth for the branch by acquiring new customers, expanding wallet share, and ensuring an excellent customer experience. The role combines sales, risk management, and operational responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Implement branch strategic initiatives to increase new business and cross‑sell retail and business banking products.
• Manage portfolio risk, ensure compliance with KYC/AML policies, and oversee accurate transaction booking.
• Monitor performance against daily targets, address shortfalls, and operationalise marketing campaigns.
• Maintain high service standards, meet turnaround times for onboarding and loan processing, and uphold branch NPS scores.
• Support internal controls, conduct snap checks, and ensure proper documentation in the core banking system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
• Familiarity with banking products such as checking accounts, savings accounts, loans, and credit cards.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a banking environment.

Required skills

• High attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong internal customer service focus.
