Waiter - 3 Positions Available

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring three waiters for a full-time position in Nairobi West Centre within the hospitality industry. The role covers welcoming guests, serving food and drinks, handling payments and keeping the dining area tidy.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Present menus, explain menu items and promotions, and make recommendations when requested.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and pass them promptly to the kitchen or bar.
• Serve food and beverages according to established service standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
• Clear, clean and reset tables efficiently for the next guests.
• Process customer bills and handle cash, card and mobile payments accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, service stations and work equipment.
• Follow high standards of food safety, personal hygiene and sanitation.
• Work with kitchen staff and colleagues to keep operations smooth.
• Help with opening and closing duties, including setting up dining areas and restocking.
• Report customer complaints, equipment issues or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Upsell menu items and promote special offers.
• Comply with company policies, operational procedures and health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Service or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in a hotel, restaurant, cafè or other hospitality establishment.
• Food safety and hygiene training is an added advantage.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
