Waiter - Boutique Hotel

About the role

A high-end boutique hotel in Nairobi, recruited through The Partnership Agency, is looking for experienced, service-driven waiters. The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills and the ability to create a welcoming dining experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly and professionally.
• Present menus, take accurate food and beverage orders and offer recommendations.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
• Set up and clear tables promptly, keeping the dining area clean and organised.
• Process payments and issue receipts accurately.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns and special requests courteously.
• Follow hygiene and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for seamless service.
• Assist with restocking and preparation for peak service hours.

Required profile

• Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent certification is a plus.
• 2-4 years of experience as a waiter in a hotel, fine dining restaurant or upscale caf.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift trays when necessary.
• Team player with a positive, customer-centred attitude.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including menu pairings and presentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism, courtesy and attention to detail.
