Warehouse Assistant for IRS Project (Busia & Siaya)

About the role

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, you will support the receipt, delivery, and inventory control of malaria vector control and HIV/AIDS service commodities in the project warehouses located in Busia and Siaya counties.

Key responsibilities

• Assist daily warehouse operations, maintain accurate inventory records and optimal stock levels.
• Inspect and verify incoming commodities for quality and quantity, update stock cards and ledger books promptly.
• Prepare delivery and receipt documentation such as delivery notes and GRNs, and follow up on supply requests from field sites.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, FIFO rotation and a clean, safe warehouse environment.

Required profile

• Diploma in purchasing, supplies management or a related field.
• At least 6 months experience as a storekeeper or store assistant.
• Good communication in English and Kiswahili; physically fit to stand long hours and lift items.
• Willingness to work six days a week and undergo a medical examination due to insecticide exposure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with procurement or inventory management software.
