About the role
The Youth Coordinator will engage young people in Homa Bay and the surrounding target counties, using media and storytelling to drive positive social change. This position involves community mobilisation, digital content creation, and supporting initiatives related to child protection, gender‑based violence prevention, and youth empowerment.
Required profile
- Young person living in or strongly linked to one of the 14 target counties
- Understanding of local youth, creative and community ecosystems
- Experience or interest in filmmaking, digital content creation, social media, community mobilisation, communications, journalism, arts or storytelling
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to mobilise and work effectively with other young people
- Integrity, responsibility and respect for confidentiality
- Comfortable using digital and social media platforms
- Willingness to support community‑based activities and occasional field engagements
- Interest in CSEA/GBV prevention, child protection, SRHR, youth empowerment and community development
