About the role
Kenya Airways is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform inspection, repair, modification, overhaul and functional testing on its fleet. The role ensures aircraft airworthiness while complying with KCAA regulations and company standards.
Key responsibilities
- Execute repair, modification, replacement, overhaul and functional tests on aircraft systems within planned turnaround times.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot aircraft defects using maintenance manuals.
- Conduct inspections and predictive maintenance to verify airworthiness.
- Complete accurate maintenance documentation and operate authorized maintenance equipment.
- Follow safety, health, environment and security procedures, reporting incidents as required.
Required profile
- Completed recognized apprenticeship or KNEC Engineering Diploma (or equivalent).
- KCSE aggregate C+ with C+ in Mathematics, English and Physics.
- Computer literacy.
- Minimum 3 years aircraft maintenance experience or 2 years apprenticeship.
Required skills
- Knowledge of aviation legislation and regulations.
- Understanding of industrial safety standards and MSDS material specifications.
- Proficiency with maintenance data, equipment and related IT systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot aircraft systems at task level.
- Experience operating authorized maintenance tools and equipment.
