Assembly Technician - 2nd Shift

About the role

The Assembly Technician works the 2nd shift performing a range of production assembly tasks on electronic and mechanical sub‑assemblies. The role involves interpreting diagrams, using hand and power tools, and ensuring all work meets FAA‑approved standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute repetitive and non‑repetitive assembly operations on modules, boards, panels, frames and cables.
• Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints and work orders to create initial layouts.
• Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, saws and precision measuring instruments to position and align components.
• Perform continuity checks, quality inspections and serviceability tests according to specifications.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble and test prototype or experimental assemblies.
• Document work packages and submit completed assemblies to Quality Assurance for final inspection and airworthiness certification.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; mechanical/electrical experience preferred.
• 2‑4 years of experience in assembly, mechanical, electrical or aircraft structures.
• Journeyman‑level proficiency with technical data, aircraft drawings and FAA procedures.
• Ability to read work orders, blueprints and specifications to determine repair or fabrication steps.
