AU Tax and Business Advisory Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, detail‑oriented AU Tax and Business Advisory Accountant to support our Australian clients. The role offers long‑term growth, exposure to advisory work, and the chance to become a trusted member of a dynamic team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS returns, and compile year‑end financial statements and working papers.
• Prepare Australian income tax returns for companies, trusts, individuals, and partnerships, as well as Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns.
• Ensure compliance with Australian taxation and accounting standards and proactively identify inconsistencies or risks.
• Assist with business advisory engagements, management reporting, and external CFO service delivery.
• Analyze financial data, provide insights, and support budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow reporting.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, perform reconciliations, and review bookkeeping work.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet deadlines and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience serving Australian clients.
• Strong understanding of Australian tax compliance requirements.
• Experience preparing BAS/IAS, financial statements, company and trust tax returns, and FBT returns.
• Exposure to business advisory or external CFO support.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Fluent written and verbal English communication.
