Clinical Officer – Outpatient & Inpatient Care

About the role

The Clinical Officer will deliver high‑quality outpatient and inpatient medical services at St. Crispin Afya Hospital. You will assess patients, make diagnoses, provide treatment, offer health education and ensure proper follow‑up care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments.
• Provide health education and arrange follow‑up appointments.
• Perform minor clinical procedures such as circumcision, wound dressing and suturing.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to clinical standards, protocols and patient‑safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Diploma in Clinical Medicine from a recognized institution.
• Registered and licensed by the Clinical Officers Council (COC) with a valid practicing license.
• 2–3 years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in a healthcare facility.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient safety.

Required skills

• Minor clinical procedures (circumcision, wound dressing, suturing).
• Computer proficiency for record‑keeping and documentation.
