Cluster Head – East Africa (Senior General Manager)

About the role

The Cluster Head – East Africa is a senior General Manager‑level position responsible for overseeing Glenmark’s commercial operations across the East African region. Reporting to the Senior Vice President and Business Head – MEA, the role carries full P&L accountability for a business volume of USD 35‑40 million.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver the cluster P&L, driving profitable year‑on‑year growth and meeting financial targets for net sales, gross contribution, EBITDA and cash flow.
• Lead a cross‑functional commercial team of Country Managers and specialists, setting go‑to‑market models and ensuring compliance.
• Develop and execute long‑term growth strategies, increasing market rank and share while managing product portfolio and pipeline.
• Oversee sales operations including planning, budgeting, inventory management and demand forecasting.
• Engage key private‑market customers—retail chains, distributors, wholesalers, KOLs and HCPs—to maximise market execution.
• Represent Glenmark at industry forums, regulatory meetings and external engagements to build corporate image.

Required profile

• Senior General Manager‑level experience with full P&L responsibility.
• Proven track record in leading commercial teams across multiple countries.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with regional leadership, global functions and external stakeholders.
• Ability to drive revenue growth, optimise profitability and execute strategic initiatives.
