Senior Business Development Manager – East Africa

About the role

Enterprise Singapore’s Nairobi Overseas Centre is seeking a (Senior) Business Development Manager to support the Regional Director in expanding Singapore’s trade and investment footprint across East Africa. The role focuses on connecting Singaporean enterprises with market opportunities, partners and stakeholders in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Help Singapore‑based companies capture business opportunities in East Africa by building partnerships with government, private and civil‑society stakeholders.
• Organise marketing trips, business missions and events to promote market access.
• Develop business leads, gather market intelligence and create sector strategies that identify opportunities for Singapore enterprises.
• Promote and deepen bilateral trade ties between Singapore and East African markets.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by the Regional Director or Enterprise Singapore headquarters.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
• At least 5 years of experience in international trade, investment promotion, business development, market analysis, marketing or banking.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with multi‑site, multicultural teams.
• Willingness to travel and meet strict timelines.
