Cook / Chef – Indian & Vegetarian Cuisine

About the role

We are looking for experienced cooks/chefs to join our kitchen team in Westlands, Nairobi. The role focuses on preparing high‑quality Indian and vegetable dishes while maintaining strict food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of Indian cuisine and vegetarian dishes according to menu specifications.
• Ensure all food is handled, stored, and cooked following food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Work efficiently under pressure to meet service deadlines.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Food Production, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
• Age between 30 and 45 years.
• Minimum two years of experience as a cook in a restaurant, hotel, or catering establishment.
• Reliable, disciplined and passionate about cooking.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Indian cuisine preparation.
• Expertise in vegetable dish preparation.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
