Factory Manager – Animal Feeds

About the role

The Factory Manager will lead the animal feeds manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient production, high quality standards, and compliance with safety regulations. This senior position reports to senior management and drives continuous improvement across all factory functions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end factory operations, optimizing production processes and resource utilization.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor daily production to meet output, quality and cost targets.
• Implement and maintain quality control systems to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage factory administration, budgeting, reporting and documentation.
• Supervise, train and evaluate factory staff to enhance productivity.
• Ensure proper maintenance of machinery to minimise downtime.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental standards.
• Prepare operational reports, performance metrics and improvement plans.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce costs and optimise processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years experience in animal feeds manufacturing.
• At least 3 years in a factory‑leadership role overseeing production and quality teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Management or a related field.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance and drive operational efficiency.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Experience using production‑management software.
• Knowledge of food‑safety management systems, preferably ISO 22000:2018.
