Field Sales Representative – Smallholder Farmers (Uasin Gishu)

About the role

The Field Sales Representative will promote HomeBiogas products among smallholder farmers in rural communities, creating awareness, generating leads and closing sales. The role is field‑based, requiring frequent visits to farms, farmer groups and local markets to build trusted relationships and drive adoption of clean‑energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Engage directly with smallholder farmers through community visits, farmer group meetings and market activations to raise product awareness.
• Identify, generate and qualify sales leads within the assigned territory and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
• Conduct follow‑ups with prospects, clearly explain product value and financing options, and convert qualified leads into confirmed sales.
• Achieve and consistently exceed weekly and monthly sales targets.
• Collect and submit accurate sales data, lead information and field reports using the company’s tools.
• Represent HomeBiogas professionally, building long‑term trust with farming communities.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 2 years of B2C sales experience, preferably with smallholder farmers.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• One year of experience selling agricultural, clean‑energy or asset‑based products is an advantage.
• Fluency in the local language.
