Field Service Technician – Weighing & Calibration (Kenya)

About the role

Our client, a Johannesburg‑based supplier of industrial scales and laboratory balances, operates a dedicated branch in Nairobi. They are seeking a recent graduate with a mechatronics background to join the team as a Field Service Technician, responsible for servicing, calibrating and repairing weighing equipment across Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites throughout Kenya to install, service, calibrate and repair industrial scales and laboratory balances.
• Complete accurate service reports, prepare quotations and document work using a laptop and company software.
• Perform routine maintenance and occasional heavy‑lifting tasks (up to 20 kg) safely.
• Maintain a company‑provided vehicle, petrocard and mobile phone for field operations.

Required profile

• Kenyan national with a S4, BTech or BSc degree in Mechatronics or a related field.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on a laptop and handle physical tasks.
