Global Portfolio Manager – Maternal Newborn Health & Nutrition

About the role

The Global Portfolio Manager will lead the Maternal Newborn Health and Nutrition (MNHN) portfolio at Nutrition International, based in Nairobi. Working with a global cross‑functional team, you will ensure that all projects within the portfolio are delivered on time, within scope and on budget, while meeting contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Global Portfolio Director in establishing and maintaining effective project management mechanisms across the MNHN portfolio.
• Coordinate with headquarters, regional offices (New Delhi, Nairobi) and country teams to monitor progress, data quality and compliance.
• Oversee grant management, ensuring clear annual plans, budgets and reporting for each project.
• Facilitate communication between program, monitoring, data and learning teams to keep leadership and communications informed.
• Lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams, fostering an inclusive and innovative work environment.

Required profile

• Kenyan national with a proven track record in managing public health or nutrition grants.
• Strong leadership and team‑building abilities, capable of working with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in delivering large‑scale health or nutrition programs in low‑resource settings.
• Commitment to a four‑year renewable contract and to Nutrition International’s mission.
