About the role
Mercy Corps is seeking a motivated graduate to join its Business Engagement Market Systems team in Nairobi. The role focuses on Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) activities, supporting data collection, analysis, and reporting for programme performance.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in designing and implementing data collection tools and processes.
- Clean, organize, and analyse quantitative and qualitative data sets.
- Prepare visual dashboards and reports using Excel and Power BI.
- Support the development of indicators, results frameworks, and learning documentation.
- Collaborate with programme staff and travel to field locations as needed.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, M&E) obtained within the last 12 months or pending graduation.
- Basic understanding of MEL concepts such as theories of change, indicators, and adaptive management.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to communicate findings clearly.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; working knowledge of Kiswahili.
- Willingness to work in a diverse team and travel to programme sites.
