Head of Products (Retail)

About the role

The Head of Products (Retail) will lead the definition and execution of KCB Group’s retail product strategy, overseeing the full product lifecycle from ideation through commercialization and eventual retirement. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures that retail offerings remain competitive, compliant and aligned with customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the retail product strategy in line with business objectives and manage the end‑to‑end product lifecycle.
• Lead market research, competitor analysis and customer insight activities to drive innovation and validate new concepts.
• Oversee design, testing, launch and go‑to‑market planning for new products and enhancements, monitoring post‑launch performance.
• Collaborate with Digital, Marketing, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal and external fintech partners to deliver product initiatives.
• Ensure all products meet regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk frameworks, providing regular performance reporting.
• Lead, mentor and develop the product management team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university (minimum).
• Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) – preferred.
• Professional qualifications in Product Management, Banking, Marketing or Management (e.g., CIM, CMI, CPM, ACIB) – preferred.
• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) – preferred.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in product management, preferably within banking or financial services.
