Inventory and Stores Officer

About the role

Ideal Inks & Coatings Limited is seeking an Inventory and Stores Officer to manage the flow of raw materials, work‑in‑progress and finished goods within its Nairobi manufacturing plant. The role ensures accurate stock records, supports production schedules and maintains compliance with FIFO and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming stock.
• Issue materials to production against approved work orders.
• Manage finished goods inventory and dispatch control.
• Conduct monthly stocktakes and regular spot checks.
• Maintain accurate ERP records and daily stock reports.
• Ensure stock security, FIFO compliance and proper documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Accounts, Procurement and Sales teams.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Stores Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in stores/inventory management, preferably in manufacturing.
• High integrity, accountability and strong attention to detail.
• Experience in chemicals, paints, inks or industrial manufacturing is an advantage.
