About the role
The Legal Assistant will provide general legal and strategic support to Tatu City’s in‑house legal team, helping to execute objectives, strategies and action plans. You will be responsible for managing legal documents, ensuring compliance and supporting the team in day‑to‑day operations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and optimise the legal team’s document and knowledge management systems (e.g., Egnyte, Contract Express).
- Digitise, classify and securely store contracts, pleadings, transaction documents and correspondence while ensuring GDPR and Kenya Data Protection Act compliance.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle digitally, including version control, e‑signatures and automated renewal/expiry alerts.
- Integrate legal workflows into project‑management tools and track transactions to meet agreed timelines.
- Prepare board‑ready presentations and monitor payment of invoices to external counsel.
Required profile
- Minimum two years’ experience as a paralegal in a busy law firm.
- University degree or diploma relevant to the position.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document‑management systems.
- Familiarity with real‑estate, corporate or commercial law is an advantage.
