Occupational Safety, Health & Fire Safety Intern (OSH Auditor)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Occupational Safety, Health & Fire Safety Intern to join our Fire Safety & Consultancy team in Nairobi. The role supports senior consultants in conducting OSH and fire safety audits, risk assessments, and delivering safety training for clients across the Energy & Utilities sector.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in occupational safety and health workplace audits, hazard identification and reporting.
• Support fire safety audits, inspecting extinguishers, hydrants, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting and alarm systems.
• Help prepare audit checklists, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Participate in organizing and delivering fire safety, fire warden, evacuation drill and occupational safety training sessions.
• Compile photographic evidence, maintain audit records and assist in client presentations.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and provide professional support during consultancy assignments.

Required profile

• Current student or recent graduate in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering or related field.
• Strong interest in workplace safety, fire protection and risk assessment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under supervision.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn on the job.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of OSH regulations and fire safety standards.
• Ability to conduct site inspections and document findings.
• Proficiency in preparing simple reports and training materials.
