Plant Engineer – Plant Manager (Thika, Nairobi)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Plant Engineer to lead engineering and maintenance activities at our beverage manufacturing facility in Thika, Nairobi. You will ensure equipment reliability, drive continuous improvement, and support safe, compliant production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all plant equipment.
• Establish machine‑specific maintenance schedules and guarantee timely execution.
• Monitor equipment performance, lead root‑cause analysis investigations, and improve MTBF and MTTR.
• Oversee utilities, spare‑parts inventory, and capital‑expenditure engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, food‑safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
• Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence across the plant.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with beverage manufacturing equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience managing utilities and spare‑parts inventory.
• Proven ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with SAP maintenance modules.
