About the role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable female Private Family Cook to join a high‑end household in Runda, Nairobi. This live‑in, full‑time position involves managing the family kitchen, planning nutritious meals for adults and children, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) for the family.
• Design balanced, varied, and creative menus, including child‑friendly options.
• Cook both local Kenyan dishes and international cuisines.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and equipment upkeep.
• Manage pantry inventory, track stock levels, and report shortages.
• Ensure proper food storage, minimize waste, and handle larger gatherings when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a private cook or in a professional kitchen (minimum 2 years).
• Strong knowledge of local and international cuisines.
• Creative approach to meal preparation, especially for toddlers and children.
• Ability to work independently, follow structured routines, and maintain high hygiene standards.
• Disciplined, responsible, and excellent communication with household staff.
