Sales Account Manager – Hospitality

About the role

Serena Hotels is seeking a dynamic Sales Account Manager to drive corporate and leisure revenue for its Nairobi property. The role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners and local businesses to promote the resort’s offerings and increase bookings.

Key responsibilities

• Identify local market trends and competitor activities within assigned territories.
• Attend networking events, business mixers and tourism expos to generate leads.
• Promote resort packages to corporate and travel‑agency segments and conduct professional property tours.
• Maintain accurate client collateral, rate sheets and promotional materials.
• Assist clients with itinerary planning, menu selections and spa group packages.
• Develop and grow a portfolio of corporate, MICE and leisure accounts.
• Negotiate contracts, close commercial agreements and implement account plans for retention and upselling.
• Conduct outbound sales calls and face‑to‑face meetings with mid‑tier corporate and leisure clients.
• Secure repeat bookings from event organizers, wedding planners and social groups.
• Apply seasonal promotions, corporate rates and discount structures to close sales.
• Collect deposits and ensure timely settlement of event invoices.
• Integrate eco‑friendly tourism concepts into proposals and support green initiatives.
• Record daily sales activities, customer interactions and meeting notes in the resort’s sales trackers.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Sales & Marketing, Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of direct sales experience, preferably in a 4‑star or 5‑star hotel, resort or luxury travel agency.
