Sales & Marketing Business Development Officer

About the role

The Sales & Marketing Business Development Officer will drive new business opportunities across banking, finance, insurance, SACCO, corporate, legal and commercial sectors. You will promote the firm’s auctioneering, debt recovery, repossession, valuation and asset disposal services while strengthening client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target sectors.
• Market the firm’s auctioneering, debt recovery, repossession, valuation and asset disposal services.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Prepare and deliver professional presentations, proposals and service pitches.
• Conduct market research to spot emerging opportunities.
• Generate qualified leads and convert them into business opportunities.
• Represent the organization at networking events, meetings and industry engagements.
• Maintain an updated sales pipeline and provide regular activity reports.
• Collaborate with management to achieve revenue and business development targets.
• Promote the firm’s brand through digital marketing, social media and other initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Public Relations or a related field.
• Minimum 24 months of experience in sales, marketing, business development or customer relationship management.
• Experience in auctioneering, debt recovery, legal or financial services is an advantage.
• High levels of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
• Ability to meet deadlines and achieve sales targets.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools.
