Senior Development Manager

About the role

Educate! is seeking a Senior Development Manager to lead its fundraising and revenue growth initiatives across East Africa. This senior position sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and relationship management, driving the organization toward its ambitious $100M revenue target by 2035.

Key responsibilities

• Lead external engagements with current and prospective funders, building and nurturing long‑term partnerships.
• Develop compelling grant proposals, pitch decks, and fundraising strategies aligned with Educate!’s mission.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure proposals reflect program impact and scalability.
• Track fundraising pipelines, forecast revenue, and report progress to senior leadership.
• Represent Educate! at industry events, conferences, and donor meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior fundraising or development roles within NGOs or mission‑driven organizations.
• Strong track record of securing multi‑million dollar funding from foundations, impact investors, or corporate partners.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Passion for youth employment and education initiatives in Africa.
