Senior Fixed Asset Accountant – French Speaker

About the role

SGS is seeking a Senior Fixed Asset Accountant to manage the complete Fixed Asset accounting cycle for its French affiliates. The role combines deep technical accounting expertise with hands‑on experience in Oracle ERP and requires full professional fluency in French to interact with local finance teams and auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the Fixed Asset module in Oracle for all French entities, processing additions, capitalizations, transfers, retirements and other changes.
• Perform regular variance analysis, reconciliations and ensure all transactions are closed before period‑end.
• Execute month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities in line with deadlines.
• Prepare periodic and ad‑hoc Fixed Asset reports for finance teams and management.
• Support statutory and management reporting, translating local requirements when needed.
• Serve as the primary French‑language contact for Fixed Asset queries.
• Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits.
• Execute controls under the ICOFR framework and assist with KPI preparation.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and finance automation projects.
• Assist the R2R Junior Manager with ad‑hoc activities and train junior staff.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting foundation with specific Fixed Asset experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle ERP (Fixed Asset module).
• Professional fluency in French (spoken and written).
• Ability to meet agreed SLAs, KPIs and deliver high‑quality, timely service.
