Senior Investment Dealer

About the role

The Senior Investment Dealer will be responsible for executing and managing investment transactions, supporting the Investment Committee, and ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory frameworks. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external counterparties to maximise returns while maintaining tax efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare dealing tickets for intermediaries and ensure accurate, timely entry into the fund management system.
• Execute trades with counterparties, focusing on return maximisation while managing risk and tax efficiency.
• Ensure settlement of trades with custody and investment systems.
• Negotiate and close investment opportunities with potential counterparties.
• Implement investment committee decisions in liaison with investment managers.
• Maintain complete documentation and compliance with internal procedures.
• Recommend portfolio rebalancing based on market developments and cash‑flow needs.
• Monitor investment maturities, roll‑overs and inform managers or private‑wealth clients promptly.
• Analyse macro‑economic trends, interest rates, inflation, FX movements and market sentiment.
• Provide investment ideas, trading strategies and market commentary to the Investment Committee.
• Support asset allocation, tactical decisions and client reporting.
• Build and sustain relationships with banks, brokers, custodians and other market participants.
• Coordinate meetings with issuers and ensure compliance with regulatory and risk frameworks.
• Develop and execute counter‑party review models and keep research databases up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Proven experience in investment dealing, trade execution and settlement.
• Strong understanding of fund management and investment systems.
• Ability to analyse market and macro‑economic data to support investment decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills with counterparties.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk management frameworks and internal compliance policies.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
