Senior Sales Manager – Global Payments (East & West Africa)

About the role
Senior Sales Manager, Global Payments is the senior commercial execution leader for Cellulant’s payment solutions across multiple African markets. The role owns sales strategy, pipeline generation, key‑account growth and revenue targets, and may lead a sales team or operate as an individual contributor depending on market size.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for e‑commerce, telecommunications and airlines, delivering new‑business revenue and gross‑profit targets.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of strategic enterprise opportunities and lead complex multi‑market sales cycles from origination to commercial closure.
- Lead acquisition of global and regional enterprise customers, managing high‑value RFPs, tenders and strategic engagements.
- Orchestrate cross‑functional teams (Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Customer Experience) to remove blockers and ensure smooth transition from sales to implementation.
- Identify and pursue geographic expansion, strategic partnerships and new payment corridors to accelerate market growth.
- Monitor market intelligence, competitive positioning and emerging technologies to strengthen Cellulant’s differentiation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Technology or related field; MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus.
- Significant progressive experience in enterprise sales, business development or commercial leadership within fintech, payments, banking or telecommunications.
- Proven record of delivering consistent revenue growth and managing large commercial pipelines.
- Experience managing strategic customer relationships and complex enterprise sales cycles.
- Experience leading or coaching a commercial team.
