Sr. Regional Financial Investigator

About the role

World Vision seeks a senior professional to lead complex financial investigations across the region. The role involves detecting, analysing, and mitigating fraud, corruption and other financial misconduct in a challenging, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate, plan, conduct and oversee investigations into fraud, bribery, embezzlement, theft, ethical misconduct and related risks.
• Prepare investigative plans, detailed reports, spreadsheets and presentations for senior leadership.
• Analyse financial records, ethics reports, conduct surveillance and use forensic tools to gather evidence.
• Coordinate investigations with global, national and regional offices, law‑enforcement agencies, donors, NGOs and banks.
• Provide training and guidance to junior investigators and staff on detection and investigation techniques.
• Develop investigation manuals and preventive measures, identify fraud trends and recommend risk‑mitigation actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Criminal Justice, Finance or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in investigation, auditing, law or project management within international organisations.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CA or CFE are preferred.
• Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Portuguese, local languages) are a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally and work in stressful or challenging environments.
