Tour & Travel Sales & Marketing Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Tour & Travel Sales & Marketing Specialist to join our team in Nairobi. You will be the first point of contact for prospective clients, guiding them through itinerary design, quotations and booking confirmation while supporting our marketing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and respond to client enquiries via email, telephone, WhatsApp, social media and other sales channels.
• Prepare professional safari itineraries, holiday packages and travel quotations tailored to client needs.
• Conduct regular follow‑ups on enquiries and quotations to convert leads into confirmed bookings.
• Provide clients with detailed information on destinations, accommodation, activities and excursions.
• Research destinations, hotels, safari camps and new tourism products to support package development.
• Assist in creating and promoting travel offers through social media, email and WhatsApp.
• Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, follow‑ups and bookings.
• Collaborate with the tours and operations team to ensure smooth hand‑over of confirmed bookings.
• Identify relevant tenders, RFPs, RFQs and EOIs, and support the preparation and submission of tender documents.
• Maintain updated company documentation for tender and corporate submissions.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience with at least 24 months in sales or marketing within the tourism or travel sector.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients.
• Detail‑oriented with good record‑keeping habits.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using WhatsApp for business communication.
• Effective use of email and social media platforms for client engagement.
