Unit Manager – Retail Business Healthcare – Western Region

About the role

The Unit Manager will lead revenue growth for the retail healthcare portfolio, targeting both small‑ and medium‑enterprise clients as well as individual and family health plans. The role expands the reach of Madison Group’s health insurance products through third‑party distribution channels and ensures consistent achievement of new‑business and renewal targets.

Key responsibilities

• Drive new and renewal retail health insurance sales to meet individual and SME revenue targets.
• Track performance against assigned goals and adjust tactics proactively.
• Build and expand a productive network of brokers, agents and other intermediaries.
• Introduce and promote the company’s healthcare products to partners, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing partners to secure repeat business and high renewal rates.

Required profile

• Diploma (minimum qualification).
• Mandatory prior experience in sales or insurance distribution.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Understanding of the Kenyan health insurance market and regulatory environment.
